We are
a small company located in beautiful Santa Cruz, California.
We come from a variety of backgrounds. Some of us have computer
programming expertise, others have experience in the healthcare
arena, and still others have expertise in graphical and user-interface
design. The one thing that binds us all together is that we're
dedicated to advancing the practice of acupuncture by simplifying
the administrative tasks associated with running a thriving practice.
We want to free you up to do what you do best, provide care.
We also work with numerous acupuncturists across the country
who provide invaluable feedback and direction for our software
development.
We chose the Ginkgo tree to symbolize
our company because, like acupuncture, its origins lie in ancient
China, and it is known for its healing properties. It is a
truly unique tree. Sometimes referred to as "a living fossil",
the Ginkgo has existed unchanged since the time of the dinosaurs.
It is the sole living link between the lower and higher plants,
a symbol of longevity, and is often considered one of the wonders
of this world. Ginkgo extracts have played a crucial role in
Chinese herbal medicine for many centuries. The modern-day
Ginkgo biloba has a very distinct appearance characterized
by its fan-shaped leaves. It can grow up to 30 meters tall
and can live for a millenium. It is also well-known for its
unique seeds, which have long been used as a food source in
Asia. Besides, we just think it is beautiful.
